After School Club Assistant Grade 15, Points 9-13
Contract – 38 weeks of the year 12.5 hours per week

With the popularity of our Kingfisher Afterschool Club growing at a fast pace we are seeking to appoint another highly motivated and committed afterschool club assistant to work each evening 3.15-5.45pm Monday – Friday during term time. We are looking for applicants who have experience in working with primary aged children (KS1 would be advantageous), child protection and first aid qualifications.

The successful candidates will be able to think imaginatively to provide a stimulating and high quality afterschool care provision, they will need to demonstrate that they:

  • Have experience of working with children of primary school age
  • Can be flexible
  • Are able to work well within a team and are willing to undertake training, specifically obtaining level 2 in food hygiene

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Preparation of food for afterschool club and cleaning the kitchen area.
  • Supervising children during afterschool club and providing an engaging, stimulating provision through indoor and outdoor play.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and pupils, maintaining good behaviour according to the school’s behaviour policy
  • Work well within a team.
  • Awareness of nutrition and what constitutes a healthy snack in accordance to the Healthy Schools policy.
  • Essential Experience: Experience of working with primary age children.

With the popularity of our Kingfisher Breakfast Club growing at a fast pace we are seeking to appoint another highly motivated and committed breakfast club assistant to work Tuesday mornings each week in the first instance. We are looking for applicants who have experience in working with primary aged children, child protection and first aid qualifications.

The successful candidates will be able to think imaginatively to provide a stimulating and high quality breakfast club, they will need to demonstrate that they:

  • Have experience of working with children of primary school age
  • Can be flexible
  • Are able to work well within a team and are willing to undertake training, specifically obtaining level 2 in food hygiene

  • Preparation of food for breakfast club and cleaning the kitchen area
  • Supervising children during breakfast club and providing an engaging, stimulating provision
  • Communicate effectively with parents and pupils, maintaining good behaviour according to the school’s behaviour policy
